Agia Irini Square, the Hip Corner of the Athenians !

One of my favorite places to go out in Athens for a drink (but also dinner or brunch) is the Saint Irene Square (Plateia Agias Eirinis).

The beautiful, old buildings dating from the 1900s have recently been renovated and now house bars, cafés, restaurants and clubs popular with (young) Athenians.

 Here are some places that I recommend …

Tailor Made serves cocktails as well as delicious coffee. It also sells other items such as cups and T-shirts bearing the logo of Bar).

Throubi, located at the same number on the square is also known for its music (Soul/Jazz/Funk).

Address : Plateia Agias Eirinis, 2 – Monastiraki.

The only problem with these two bars – is finding a seat 😉

Agia Irini Square, 6 – Athens

One of the places I frequent a lot is School, the pizza bar, which also serves pizza and small Italian dishes (salads, pasta, …).

Not to mention the Mama Roux restaurant, not far from the square, which I’ve already spoken about : It’s Brunch Time in Athens
